Kenneth Steel (RBA, SGA, 9 July 1906 – 1970) was a British artist creating works of art primarily in watercolor.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings/artists/kenneth-steel-6846 )〕 He was noted for landscapes, street scenes and as a poster designer.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.travellingartgallery.com/landscape/print/artist/A054.html )〕 Steel was born in Sheffield, England to G.T.Steel, an artist and silver engraver. He studied at Sheffield College of Art under Anthony Betts. During World War II, both his mother and wife died as victims of German bombing raids on Sheffield.
